    \nWe would like to inform you that the city of Heidelberg will introduce an overnight stay tax effective October 1, 2025. This municipal levy amounts to \u20ac3.50 per overnight stay and per guest. Paid accommodation for children and young people up to the age of 16 is exempt from this tax. Furthermore, the overnight stay tax will be levied for a maximum of five nights for an uninterrupted stay in the same accommodation establishment.\n

    \nDiese Steuer wurde durch einen Beschluss der Stadtverwaltung Heidelberg am 5. Juni 2025 eingef\u00fchrt und betrifft alle privaten und gesch\u00e4ftlichen \u00dcbernachtungen in Beherbergungsbetrieben innerhalb des Stadtgebiets. Sie dient der Finanzierung st\u00e4dtischer Aufgaben im Zusammenhang mit dem Tourismus sowie der Instandhaltung \u00f6ffentlicher Infrastruktur, die von Besuchern der Stadt mitgenutzt wird.\n\nWas bedeutet das konkret f\u00fcr Sie als \u00dcbernachtungsgast in Heidelberg?\n\nF\u00fcr jede \u00dcbernachtung, die ab dem 1. Oktober 2025 stattfindet, wird zus\u00e4tzlich zum regul\u00e4ren \u00dcbernachtungspreis ein Betrag von 3,50 Euro pro Nacht und pro Person erhoben. Diese Kosten reichen wir ohne Aufschlag direkt an die Stadt Heidelberg weiter. Das bedeutet:\n

    \n- we do not earn a cent from this turnover
    \n- the amount is not part of our overnight price, but a mandatory municipal fee
    \n- For us, this new regulation means increased administrative effort, e.g., in billing, documentation, and paying the tax to the city.
    \n- we are legally obliged to collect and pass on this tax to our guests.\n

    \nTransparency is important to us<\/strong>\n

    \nWe are aware that additional costs can always be annoying for guests \u2013 therefore, we also reject the introduction of the overnight tax in substance and have campaigned together with the Hotel and Restaurant Association DEHOGA Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg eV to prevent it, but unfortunately without success\u2026 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t
